The activity provided with this lesson is designed to help children learn that people come in many different colors, shapes and sizes. Simply print off the number of copies desired. Once you've run off your copies, we suggest you use one copy to draw facial features and color the faces so the more visually inclined children can see a sample and have something to work off from. Be sure and remind the children that they need to color the faces lightly so as not to cover up their drawing. Perhaps provide a brown crayon, a yellow crayon, a black crayon and a peach colored crayon to color the skin with. Encourage them to work slowly and carefully - including eyebrows, eyes, nose, and mouth. Some of the younger children will just scribble them in - that's fine. Point out that each one looks different from the other, and that they're all special.
We've given you the choice of using all the faces on one sheet of paper or printing off each face individually.
