He made the heavens and earth (Gen.1:1)
He made mankind in His own image. (Gen. 1:27)
Everything God made was good. (Gen. 1:31)
David looked at all the wonderful, mighty things God had made and wondered what man was, that God should look after him. (Psa. 8:3,4)
David said that God had put all things on earth under man's control. (Psa. 8:5-8)
God keeps track of everything that happens. He knows when a sparrow falls to the earth.
He loves us so much, and is so concerned for us, that even the number of hairs on our heads are known to him. (Luke 12:7)
Sometimes, though, bad things happen to people. That doesn't mean that God doesn't love us, or isn't concerned for our welfare.
All things work together for good to those who love God and are called. (Ro 8:28)
Satan is a ruler over bad angels, who are now called demons. Until Jesus comes back to the earth Satan broadcasts evil thoughts and attitudes. Some people listen to Satan and do bad things to other people. (II Cor. 4:4; John 8:44)
We don't have to be afraid of Satan, or the people who listen to him if we are on God's side. (II Kings 6:16)
Jesus Christ while on the earth had bad things happen to Him. People called Him bad names, they laughed at Him, tried to stone Him, and finally killed Him in a painful fashion. But Jesus knew that in spite of all the bad things that happened, God was still with Him. He endured the pain and suffering knowing that in the future He would have great glory and honor. (Heb 12:2)
Jesus learned from the things he suffered (Heb 5:8)
We also learn from the things we go through. And, if we endure to the end, we too can someday share in great glory and honor in God's soon coming Kingdom.(Rev. 5:10)
God doesn't want us to be afraid. God is with us (Isa. 41:10)
If God is on our side, we don't have anything to fear. (John 14:27 Rom. 8:31)
God has a great army of angels. (Ps 68:17)
He has given His angels the job of watching over His people (Ps 91:11)
His angles are especially careful to watch over little children. (Mt 18:10)
If we resist Satan and his evil thoughts he will run away from us. (Jas 4:7)
If we draw close to God through prayer and study, He will draw near to us. (Jas 4:8)
Jesus is our shepherd. He gave His life for His sheep. (Joh 10:11-18)
Jesus now sits next to His Father in heaven and acts as our High Priest. That means when we tell God we are sorry for something bad we did, Jesus sticks up for us.(Heb 4:14-16)
If we have any problems or worries we can go to Jesus and tell Him about them. Or we can talk directly to God the Father, and Jesus will explain to God what it is like to be human, and how we need His help and comfort.
Nothing that happens in this world can separate us from God and His love. 'Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.' (Ro 8:39)
All those who do bad things will be punished if they don't repent, say they're sorry, and stop hurting others. (Ps 37:9; Ro 12:19)
There is coming a time when Satan will be chained, and God will wipe away ALL tears. 'For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.' (Re 7:17)
'And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.'(Re 21:4)
In God's Kingdom there will be no more hurting or destroying. (Isa 11:9; Isa 65:25)
Always remember the comforting words of Jesus, 'Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.' (Luke 12:32)
NOTHING that happens in this world will compare to the JOY we will have when Jesus returns as KING of kings and LORD of lords. (Re 17:14; Re 19:16)
