When nighttime comes, the earth cools.
Often times the earth cools faster than the air.
As the earth cools, water vapor in the warm air turns into small drops of water.
This is called condensation.
Drops of water from this condensation settle on the ground.
Such moisture is called dew.
In the morning, dew wets your shoes if you walk across the grass.
But dew doesn't last long.
When the sun comes up and warms the air, the moisture on the ground evaporates, rising back up into the air.
The complete Pixies and Changing Seasons is thirty-five pages long, full of beautiful pixies, fun poems and simple lessons about nature and what happens as the seasons pass.
